Sound familiar?

Since childhood

After braces
“After my braces came off, white patches appeared.”
No grinding down
“I was recommended veneers. I do not want healthy teeth ground down for that.”
After whitening
“After whitening, the spots stood out even more.”

This is exactly what infiltration is for.

How we work

How we blend in the spots.

One session, a clear sequence, a result you see straight away.

01

Look and classify

We check where the spots come from and how deep they go: fluorosis, decalcification after braces or a disturbance in enamel formation. That determines what infiltration can achieve for you.

02

Prepare

The surface of the spot is gently opened so that the infiltrant can penetrate. Gums and neighbouring teeth are protected.

03

Infiltrate

A highly fluid resin penetrates the porous area and is cured. The spot blends into the tooth shade.

04

Polish and look

We polish the surface smooth. You see the result straight away.

Why Zahnlounge

Your tooth stays as it is.

A field we are particularly good at.

Micro-invasive

No grinding, no ceramic. Your tooth stays as it is, and only the spot recedes.

Under magnification

We work with loupes and microscope where it makes sense. That way we treat exactly the area in question.

An honest assessment

We show you beforehand what infiltration can achieve for your spots and where another path achieves more.

Good to know

Clarity before you book.

What people ask us about white spots.

01What is infiltration with Icon?⌄
Icon is a highly fluid resin that penetrates the porous area in the enamel and fills it from within. Light is then refracted as in healthy enamel again, and the spot blends into the tooth shade. The treatment is micro-invasive and as a rule works without anaesthetic.
02Which spots is the treatment suitable for?⌄
For white spots caused by fluorosis, for decalcification after fixed braces and for some disturbances of enamel formation. With deep or brownish discolouration we combine infiltration, where it makes sense, with whitening or a fine composite build-up. We clarify what suits you in the consultation.
03Do the spots disappear completely?⌄
In many cases they can no longer be seen afterwards, in others they are clearly softened. That depends on cause and depth. We show you beforehand what you can expect.
04How long does the result last?⌄
The result is designed to be lasting and stays stable for many years. The treated area is cared for like a healthy tooth. At your check-up we see whether a polish would do it good.
