Technology

Precision begins with visibility.

That is why we work exclusively with the best that dentistry offers today. Chosen without compromise, from the microscope to 3D imaging. And on screen we show you what we see, before we recommend anything.

Surgical microscope

Up to 25 times magnification. It lets us see the finest canals, cracks and leaks that stay hidden to the naked eye. Every root canal treatment and every second opinion takes place under it.

What people ask us before their first visit.

01I am new to Zürich. How do I become a patient?⌄
The Zahnlounge in Zürich-Enge welcomes new patients. Book directly online or call us, whether you arrived last week or have lived here for years. You can complete your medical history digitally in advance, which leaves more time for the conversation at your first visit.
02Does everyone speak English?⌄
Yes. Everyone at the Zahnlounge speaks fluent English and German, and your treatment, your treatment plan and your cost estimate are all available in English. The team also speaks Polish, Turkish, Albanian, Arabic, Spanish and French. Tell us at booking which language you prefer.
03What happens at the first appointment? Do I have to decide on treatment right away?⌄
The first appointment at the Zahnlounge begins with a conversation. Then we take a close look, with digital X-rays and, where it makes sense, under the microscope, and discuss with you what we see. At the first appointment we treat what you wish and what makes sense. Everything else you decide at your own pace.
04Will I know the costs in advance?⌄
Yes. Before every major treatment you receive a written treatment plan with effort and costs. Where there is more than one path, we show you both, with a prognosis. You decide, we advise.
05How does dental insurance work in Switzerland?⌄
Basic health insurance in Switzerland covers dental treatment only in exceptional cases, such as after an accident. Supplementary dental insurance reimburses part of the costs depending on your policy. Before every major treatment you receive a written cost estimate from us, which you can submit to your insurer.
06How experienced is the dentist, and what technology do you work with?⌄
Dr. Dominika Kleinert-Baltsios, MSc Endodontics, has worked under the surgical microscope since 2013, with around 1,500 root canal treatments and 600 ceramic restorations a year. The Zahnlounge is equipped with a Zeiss microscope, digital X-rays, a 3Shape intraoral scanner and EMS Airflow for dental hygiene. On screen we show you what we see.
07I was told a tooth has to be extracted. Can it be saved?⌄
Often, yes. Bring your X-rays with you. We examine the tooth and show you whether and how it can be preserved. For this we can use our microscope and look considerably more closely. You receive both paths, with prognosis and costs. Whether and where you have treatment is your decision, made at your own pace.
08How quickly can I be seen if I am in pain?⌄
With acute pain or a dental injury, call the Zahnlounge: +41 43 817 65 61. We will find the earliest appointment the day allows.
09Can I get appointments before work, and how long will I wait?⌄
The Zahnlounge is open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday by appointment. A short wait is a planning principle for us: you take a seat in the lounge briefly, and your appointment starts on time. We value your time.
10I am anxious about the dentist. What do you do differently?⌄
Tell us, ideally when booking or on the phone. We explain every step before it happens, take breaks whenever you wish, and treat as gently as possible.
